The Child Migrants Trust (CMT) is committed to protecting and respecting your data & privacy. By using the website www.childmigrantstrust.com you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy. We hope the following statement will help you understand how CMT collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to us.

If you contact us for services, in order to receive newsletters, or for recruitment purposes, your information may be stored manually or electronically. However, we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the service/s you have requested.

The data that you provide may be shared, transferred to, and stored with colleagues based in other CMT offices (outside the European Economic Area), to enable us to deliver our services. We may share limited relevant data with our research partners, for example Registrars and Archives. We will not make your personal details available outside our organisation without your consent, unless obliged to do so by law.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use procedures and data security measures to try to prevent unauthorised access.
